Global Relief Resources is made up of a growing volunteer base, growing technical expertise and step by step increasing capacity to provide education and resources in a way that supports young girls in Africa to create a new more just social system for themselves, supporting women to end violence and communities to find stable sources of fresh water learning how to care for both temporary filtration systems and living water systems.
Global Relief Resources is an organization that connects with grass-roots wisdom contained in communities and natural community leaders. We provide technical water filtration system support and educational support for women and girls who are in situations that are unjust. We believe resources can be shared in ways that restore justice and inspire wisdom.
In 2010, we are increasing our capacity to support girls with scholarships, a vital part of these girls ability to forge their way into a new social system that gives them an opportunity outside of Female Genital Mutilation and child slave marriage. Please contact myself or Mary Walker, the scholarship fund manager, about connecting with specific girls and being a critical part in their walk to a new life, which they are creating!
Global Relief Resources is also opening a new avenue this year of providing “Free Fresh Filtered Water Sites,” as part of a mission we have to deliver the message that “water is a human right,” and we have the ability as a people on the earth, to provide every human being with fresh water and a connection to water as the source of life.
Right now we are focused on Haiti and New Orleans, researching the best places to set up these fresh filtered water sites. Please contact us if you would like to be involved more deeply with any of these projects and please contribute financially to all of them!! I need to raise a minimum of $20k in each area. Please help in any way you can!! You will be supporting a new organization that is developing projects with a high level of focus and relational intelligence, building educational relationships that respect women, water and life as sacred.
If you have questions about any of our programs or general questions please contact me! aw@globalreliefresources.org
